ACTIVITIES TO BE ENJOYED IN SRILANKA

Snorkeling

Hikkaduwa is a pretty little town of the sun and waves, on the southern end of Sri Lanka. The place is renowned for its coral reefs, beautiful beaches and surfable waves. The coral reefs also mean that lots of colorful sealife live in the shallows supported by the coral organisms, the polyps. Sri Lanka s only marine sanctuary is located in Hikkaduwa.

Madu River Safari

In the Southern region of Sri Lanka lies the Galle district. Balpitiya is a little town in the district and would be quite unimportant, except for the location of a river. The Madu River is very rich in biodivesity. It passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka opening up into the large Madu Lagoon on its way to the Indian Ocean.

Hikkaduwa Boat Ride

In Hikkaduwa, the overexploited coral sanctuary stretches out from the string of Coral hotels at the north end of the strip to a group of rocks a couple of hundred metres offshore.
